Inside the support
Sessions of Worcestershire is a Kidderminster-based catering butchery founded in 1989 — supplying pork sausages, fresh meat, charcuterie and wholesale food to catering establishments across a wide regional radius, with national wholesale on top. Their business runs on a Claris FileMaker database; the system is theirs, and Smart Wolf wasn't the original developer.
Smart Wolf stepped in as Sessions' support partner. Every issue or request goes through a dedicated ticketing system with committed SLAs on response and resolution, and tickets go straight to the developers who know the system — no first-line call-centre hand-off. When a ticket calls for it, Smart Wolf runs a remote viewing session with the team: screen-share, hands-on guidance, problems resolved live rather than by email tennis.
Since taking over the support of the system, Smart Wolf has progressively enhanced it — UI improvements for the team's day-to-day screens, performance tuning, keeping the platform up to date with the latest Claris FileMaker versions and best practice, and new features like automated PDF order forms sent through to the right delivery van for the day.
